On our way from the subway to the shrine we met a lot of dressed up Japaneses with their babies. They all had performed a form for "baptism" at the shrine and touched (some drank it) water from a spring (picture below).

We were lucky and witnessed a traditional wedding as well! This saturday must somehow be a special day in japan... I'm gonna have to figure out why... It was quite funny to see how many people ran around the wedding guests for minutes and minutes just to ensure that everyone had the perfect positure and that every fold in the kimono was just were it was supposed to be... Milimeter adjustments...

After our cultural morning-sightseeing we decided to take the subway to Sakae, the real downtown center of Nagoya. The amount of shops, shopping centres and even more shops was just overwhealming, and since Emilie got pretty tired we decided to call it a day after a nice coffe at Starbucks... So there are no impressive pictures of downtown Nagoya yet - but they'll come because I have to go back for some serious SHOPPING :D (anyone with a fat wallet wanting to fund my shopping - please contact me!)
